When team building turns into community impact

At our latest team day, we came together expecting a bit of friendly competition, problem‑solving and laughs along the way. What we didn’t expect was just how meaningful the day would become.

Working through a series of team challenges, we put our heads down to build bikes – assuming, like most team days, the reward would be a final race or bragging rights. Instead, the real purpose was revealed: these bikes weren’t for us at all.

They were for five incredible kids from our local community.

In that moment, everything shifted. What started as a team challenge became something much bigger – a chance to make a tangible difference. Together, our team contributed 22 volunteer hours, building and donating five bikes to help local children get active, build confidence and enjoy the simple freedom that comes with riding a bike.

The impact goes beyond the numbers. For many kids, access to physical activity isn’t a given – and something as simple as a bike can support both physical wellbeing and mental health, while encouraging more time outdoors and less time behind screens.

Handing over the bikes was a moment none of us will forget. There were proud smiles, a few happy tears, and a strong reminder of what’s possible when our team gets together.

A huge thank you to Pinnacle Team Events for creating such a powerful CSR experience, to Modus Merewether for hosting us so beautifully, and to Newy Digital for capturing the moments that say more than words ever could.

This one truly meant a lot to our team, and to the community we’re proud to be part of.
