Spectrum Comms with Arenco and Haslin Constructions for Transport for NSW
Project Objectives
The Transport Access Program (TAP) is a NSW Government initiative delivering safe, modern and accessible public transport infrastructure across the state, improving access to public transport for people with disability or limited mobility, and parents and carers with prams. More than $2.2 billion has been invested in the Transport Access Program to fund accessibility upgrades at stations, create better transport interchanges and build car parks, supporting an integrated transport network and seamless transfers for all customers.
Our Role
Spectrum Comms was engaged by Arenco and Haslin Constructions to provide communication and engagement support on the following station upgrades: Bexley North, Petersham, East Hills, Blackheath, Clarendon, Warrawee, Hawkesbury River, Yagoona and Medlow Bath. This work included:
- Designing and delivering the Community Liaison Management Plan.
- Providing timely, accurate and relevant updates on site activities and potential impacts.
- Managing regular and crisis communications including.
- Responding to complaints and enquiries with a focus on resolution and transparency.
- Minimising disruption through proactive engagement with affected stakeholders.
- Identifying and escalating critical construction issues for discussion with Transport for NSW.
- Monitoring communication trends and identifying opportunities for positive media engagement.
Outcomes
- Maintained 24-hour contact responsibility, ensuring prompt response to community needs.
- Successfully completed upgrades at all designated stations on time.
- Met all Service Level Agreements throughout consultation, design, and construction phases.
- Enhanced community information and engagement through stakeholder updates, dedicated hotlines, on-site signage, media briefings, door knocks, site visits, and more.
