Port Waratah Coal Services (PWCS) needed an Internal Communications Strategy to build capacity throughout the organisation and enable members across teams to deliver effective internal communications, guide key messaging and develop an uplifting a one-team culture.

The development and delivery of the strategy was carried out in three stages:

  • Identifying opportunities to improve internal communications.
  • Making recommendations to guide the development and implementation of the new strategy.
Outcomes
  • A comprehensive strategy identifying a range of quick wins, medium and long term priorities with assignment of responsibilities, supported with research and monitoring to measure and assess progress.
  • Recommendations for new internal communication processes, channels, scheduling, training and key messaging.
  • Establishing a strong framework for PWCS to successfully complete stage three independently and implement the strategy.
