Spectrum Comms with Lismore City Council
Project Objectives
In late 2021 Lismore experience an unprecedented flooding event. The Lismore’s Flood Restoration Portfolio (FRP) was formed in 2022 to rebuild, restore and strengthen community assets and infrastructure.
The Communications and Stakeholder Engagement Management Plan (CASEMP) was prepared to guide Council, the FRP team, and the FRP delivery partners in the planning and execution of proactive stakeholder and community engagement and communication initiatives to support the delivery of this unprecedented infrastructure restoration program across the Lismore area.
Our Role
Spectrum Comms was engaged by Lismore City Councils’ Flood Restoration Program team to undertake a review of the CASEMP. This work included:
- Development of the strategy.
- Simplification of the language to remove unnecessary complexity.
- Assessment of the strategy against industry best practices and comparable benchmarks.
- Comprehensive review to identify gaps, risks, and opportunities for enhancing engagement effectiveness.
Outcomes
- Reviewed, edited and delivered an updated and improved engagement strategy, on time and within budget expectations.
